The Negative Effects of not Networking for Christ.

In the business world it is said that your net-worth is only as good as your network. There were many years that I believed that I could do it on my own until things weren't progressing after much effort. I found that having a lack of available contacts, support in relevant fields and a person to sometimes vent to is more powerful than the prize of winning all alone. I am going to share 3 points of what refusing to network, or in other words, evangelism, can do negatively in your life.

First, it paralyzes you when you actually want to share. The phrase, "If you don't use it, you'll loose it" in the fitness world is as true in sharing words about the Lord. There are moments where we will want to share, but we will walk away feeling regret that we maybe should have. The more we make sharing with intent of connecting to people in faith, the more automatically it will be part of our actions.

Second, it keeps you from having accountability. When you don't openly network with people about Christ, it will makes it hard to find people who are willing to hold you accountable. Very rarely, does a person who doesn't talk openly and network with people about Jesus do they embrace accountability. It is usually a decision to avoid people in regards to faith in general.

Lastly, it robs joy from you. Some of the most encouraging moments are when a complete stranger shares the same love for the Lord Jesus as you. Connecting to such a person enforces your faith, and joy knowing that God is moving in someone else the same as in you.

My desire is to encourage you to talk to people as intentionally as a business person striving to network for their own growth. Networking can have a great impact in your life and you can learn how to do so using your social media. Comment on someone's page, share their content if its faith related, even direct message someone. You will be amazed at how networking for the Lord brings blessings to you.
